I have a file I've been working on all week. Left alone for two days and today it was invisible? Could find it in search but not in the folder. When clicked, the file tries to open but affinity says it won't support it. The file name now has ~lock~ at the end, and ibdont know how that suddenly got there. The file is also no longer in my recently opened folder on affinity. I have logged over 30hrs on this file and my due date is soon! Please help.

The ~lock~ file is only used for application service purposes, so you don't need to pay attention to it (of course, it can't be opened because it doesn't contain any working data).

It lived on for hours, and it wasn't attached to the original file, it seemed. I did find the original elsewhere, so all is well. But still don't know why this one stuck around, or why the original disappeared out of affinity's "recently opened" tab. Certainly something screwed happened alongside the user error, but I'm no longer having a meltdown.
