After successfully adding colour tints to a number of black and white photographs using Lens Filter adjustment layers in Affinity Photo 2, I suddenly find I can't do that any more. Same for other adjustment layers such as HSL. Not only that, but Affinity seems to have lost the ability to display any colour whatsoever in the document window. Worse, if I place a new colour photo into the document, Affinity automatically converts it into black and white. Even more bizarre is that the various colour tools seem to have lost all connection to a world in which there is colour; they display only greys. I've tried importing the images in different file formats, rebooting everything and starting from scratch, and I'm getting nowhere. (MacBook Pro M3, macOS Sequoia)

Ah! I've cracked the mystery. The images I was using had a Generic Grey Gamma 2.2. Profile, probably because of the settings I used when I scanned them. I converted them to an RGB profile and the problem disappeared.
