Hofnaar Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Hey Guys, I cant find any related thread via search function... My question is, is it possible to implement a function to draw guidlines with every tool, if im drawing it out of the ruler on top and on the left side? Currently you first have to click on the Move tool (v) to leave the current tool, e.g. distortion or cropping. This is highly impractical. It would be better if I could draw guides from the ruler with every tool lacerto 1 Quote

Edit: I found only one (Colour and Style Picker Tool) that doesn't work, but given its "capturing" nature, this is probably to be expected. Same here in APub V1. – But in APhoto most tools don't work (e.g. all pixel editing tools) and only a few do (e.g. vector shapes, node). In ADesigner and Designer persona, these are all tools except for the aforementioned Pickers. In Pixel persona, the tools no longer do this because guides are not relevant for them (of course, these tools cannot move even the guides already placed on the canvas) - except for some visual orientation. Possibly to create snapping guides for this tools in a zoom level where the tool handles are outside the workspace. Hofnaar Posted April 2 Author Posted April 2 Ok, maybe I have to explain again - Its not working in APhoto and not with tools like crop, perspective distortion... and of course, to abbort these tools, the ESC key should be work too. Quote

Since some tool must be active (IOW, there is no "no tool" option), what tool would you want the Escape key to abort to? R C-R Posted April 2 Posted April 2 1 hour ago, Pšenda said: Apparently, again a somewhat hidden request - to interrupt Crop? Maybe, but the OP said "to abort these tools" (plural) so it seemingly can't apply to just that tool or the Perspective Distortion Tool or whatever else the "..." ellipsis might apply to in this earlier post. So I still think this would require some sort of default tool or possibly a "no tool" option. Hofnaar Posted April 3 Author Posted April 3 Sorry for the misunderstanding or my bad english: What I meant with "abbort" was: Cancel the current Tool function with the ESC Key Quote
