Missing Layers

Hi Guys,

I am using the affinity designer and i open the adobe .ai file. I hide a bunch of objects in the adobe illus. and i can't find them when editing the file in affinity D. 

 

Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Affinity apps can only import the PDF data/stream contained in the AI file (which must be saved with ‘Create PDF Compatible File’ checked), not the AI data itself. Therefore, make sure all objects are visible and placed on an artboard, as objects in the pasteboard area are not included in the PDF data/stream of the AI file.
