Hello,

 

When I try to open this file, wich open correctly with macOS preview, Affinity Photo crashes.

The file is probably corrupted, but the app should not crash.

Could you please upload the original files as an attachment because the forum can mess with images - these open without crashing in Photo. Zipping the two files together and uploading the zip will provide the unchanged files for testing.

FWIW, the OP said "this file" which implies the original is just one file....

That’s true, but two separate images are included in the OP.

Yes, I can see that, but if the original is actually just one file what was posted could be two screen captures of different parts of it, so zipping up those two images would not likely tell us anything useful.

Hi @bob0,

Looks like a truncated/damaged file, comparatively PS fails to import the image but prompts an error. The app should at least be handling the error correctly without crashing so i'll get this logged. If you re-export the image to JPEG out of Preview, you can import the image into Photo as expected.
