I am told that this can happen when you try to buy a product when the Apple Store is adding or removing a promotion, as just occurred for Affinity Photo to celebrate it's first birthday. It's as if you added a product to the basket that now is not available (at that price). The support team say that if you log out of the store and then back in with your Apple ID that you will be able to buy Photo. Make sure you know your ID before you log out. Open the Terminal app. Copy and paste the following command and press Enter: open $TMPDIR/../C This will open a Finder window. 2. Drag the com.apple.appstore folder that's inside there to the Trash. This folder is just a cache. It will be recreated as soon as you run the Mac Store app again. 3. Run the Mac Store app and try to Buy/Install Affinity Photo or Designer again.
