Can't Change Bullet Style

Bullets in general are a nightmare in Publisher, but I'm really confused as to why when I select multiple lines of text I can change the bullet style, but when trying to change it for a single line of text it keeps reverting back to the original.  I made a screen recording of my process trying to change the bullet for the line "Cash".  I select the line, select the bullet in the Text: field.  Change it to white bullet, it looks great, then I click elsewhere, and it changes back to the original bullet.  Is this a bug or just really poor implementation?

Try pressing the Enter key on your keyboard while the focus is still on the Bullets & Numbering ‘Text’ box.

Reversion is only ever in the backwards direction, so you can save yourself some redundancy (and some typing!) by just saying ‘reverting’ instead of ‘reverting back’.
