spidershu Posted March 20 Posted March 20 The Color tab seems very off. The hue isn't as bright as it used to be. Using the color picker and hovering it over this yellow swatch gives me this orange color. Is there a way to fix this? Color Format: RGB/32 HDR. Color Profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (Linear) (Convert) I had other documents in the same format, but I didn't have this problem before. Quote

I think you mean that the hue isn’t as yellow as it used to be, but your screenshot shows a Hue value of only 27. Pure yellow is 45 on the 0 to 360 hue scale, so it’s to be expected that anything closer to pure red (0 on the scale) will look quite orange once you get below 30. However, there does seem to be quite a disparity between the yellow on the Hue ring and the orange at the S = 100 point on the Saturation/Lightness triangle. spidershu Posted March 21 Author Posted March 21 Monitor is fine, otherwise both colors would be off. I ended up fixing it. I had to change all the documents from RGB/32 HDR to RGB/8. Here is what it's supposed to look like. Using the eye dropper tool on the same color swatch. Same monitor as well. You can see the difference between both Color Tabs. Quote

The question was not about the monitor, but about the ICC profile for the monitor - which are two completely different things. And the ICC profile only affects the rendering of colors on the canvas, so both colors would not be off. If it's fixed you should get the same two tiny colour previews displayed in the wheel with RGB/32 HDR. (However, apart from 8 vs 32 bit, there are several threads in the forum about panel value discrepancies and the assumption that the interface is not colour-managed.)
