So my apologies if this is a little long, I don’t mean it to be. It’s just that I just wanna give a little background.

I am somebody that runs a small agency. We do graphic design, web design, social media management, and various marketing and such.

We used Adobe Forever and our decision to get over to affinity had nothing to do with really like hating Adobe with the subscription and stuff because somebody that’s worked in the industry for a really long time there is that mindset that you know I’m working for a living and yes, the subscription stinks, but it is paying for itself so that wasn’t the reason.

The reason was quite frankly we all just really like it. Yes there are certain things it does not do but it’s not many and there are ways to do things especially in designer that I am pretty sure people do not even know about. The long answer is we are really enjoying it and we do a decent amount of print and have had no issues.

Here is my question for anyone and hopefully is the correct platform. Why does Affinity not let or have plugins? This would seem like such a great way to fix the gaps where certain things do not work compared to Adobe Illustrator or PS. That is really it.

What gives me hope is with the Canva purchasing Affinity and then putting together that advisory board of some really heavies in design that things will be great going forward. The main issue I feel over the yrs with Aff was the issue of not many people that really do design for larger companies used or even knew about Aff. It is a really good software that I feel just needs some refinement and love.

Anyways thanks for your time and the plugin question I hope can be honestly addressed. Peace to all and hafe a great day.

Already being discussed in the "Scripting" thread - plugin and scripting support are being actively developed together and will be coming eventually but are not ready to be released yet:
