Hi anyone Know how I can disable "go to previous  tool" if I pressed same key?

Example

  • - was on node tool
  • - pressed V (move tool)
  • - Pressed V again it selected Node tool

How I can make V only for move only ,I don't want the toggle to previous tool behaver?

I don't want use shift to enable cycle shortcut option.

Enable this option to prevent automatic return to the previous tool when a tool shortcut is pressed again:

yeah it's Shift key one windows ,is there another option because some shortcut with same key will be harder to use (rectangle/rounded rectangle)

Not that I know of. Considering that the Shape Tool (M) can create 22 different shapes, it could get quite complex if each one had its own keyboard shortcut. At least three basic shapes (rectangle + rounded rectangle + ellipse) can be toggled and selected by repeatedly clicking the M keyboard shortcut.

It is the Shift key on Macs too -- ⇧ is the Mac icon for the Shift key.

Not really sure what you mean by "Shape Tool (M)" but you can assign single-key (no modifiers allowed) shortcuts for each of the 22 vector shape tools in AD's Designer Persona via Settings > Keyboard Shortcuts for the Designer - Tools tab.

Of course, it could be a bit of a challenge to do that without having to rework a lot of the other ones!

EDIT: In fact, I cannot find in either AD V1 or V2 a "Shape Tool," much less a keyboard shortcut assigned to the "M" key. Can you clarify what you mean?

In my experience/understanding there is one 'Shape Tool' which can create various shapes – and also edit different shapes: you can edit the red nodes of a Trapezoid with the Pie Tool for instance or a Cog with the Rectangle tool.

The shortcut 'M' is an Affinity factory default for three basic shapes.

As I understand it, there are 22 separate vector shape tools, which is why each of them can be assigned a unique keyboard shortcut if desired.

Thanks. I guess I changed that so long ago that I forgot I had done that. I had set the Ellipse Tool to "E" early on for V1 & it must have been carried over into V2. I guess I had set both Rectangle & Rounded Rectangle to "R" (far more logical to me -- YMMY) & just now changed the Rounded Rectangle one to "O." Oddly, the tooltip was still showing "R" for it until I restarted the app but it worked even without restarting.
