Hi all i am using Designer on ipad.
I am having huge problems getting the selection tools to work in pixel persona.
the flood selection tool , or magic wand just work sometimes. The brush selection tool works sometimes, but it usually just masks the whole immage.
When i select something and copy/paste it it copies the whole immage, not just the selected part. The fill tool wont fill in the area selected, however i can paint in it and use the maskt area, just not do the same with the fill.

Stuff seem to happen at random, sometimes the flood selection dont work, then after a reeboot it works again.
Now the color wheel has flipped aswell, im not abeled to change color as you can see in the clip.

i dont know if this is a bug or if its me, but this randomness sure does not feel like it could be how it should be.

Hi @globso,

I believe many of the issues you're experiencing relate to the fact that you're attempting to edit and 'Image' type layers, which retain all of their original pixel data. For example, you won't be able to add a fill directly onto the selected pixel region of an image layer, or duplicate the selected area, this will just result in the entire image layer being duplicated.

You'll need to rasterise the Image layer. This can be done via the Layers panel 'Merge and Rasterise' submenu, indicated by this icon: image.png

Image layers info: https://affinity.help/photo2ipad/English.lproj/pages/Layers/layerImage.html

With regards to the selection difficulty, it's hard to tell what's actually happening. Try turning 'Show Touches' from the app settings -> general so it's easier to see if the input from your pen is detected. Also, try using a finger tap instead for comparison.
