Xanadu Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Automat that is/was on 6th Avenue and 57th Street in New York. Don't know if there is anything left of it now. I could only find one photo of this after it had shut down and all the windows and doors were covered, so guessing involved. I had assumed that it was owned by Horn & Hardart as they had apparently had loads, but it's not on their list. Might not be theirs or the caption might be wrong. I did contact H&H to see if they had any large photos for reference, they sent me a couple b&w of course, within an hour which was impressive. Not sure what to do with them yet though. jmwellborn, Ash Eldritch, DelN and 7 others 10 Quote
Xanadu Posted March 16 Author Posted March 16 Someone said it has been demolished and there's a Hilton hotel there now. It's a shame, it seems that everywhere nice architecture is replaced with generally boring or worse than boring stuff. Quote
