cloudescape Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Dear Sirs, I would like to purchase Affinty Photo 2 for Windows and install it on my offline PC. Ist that possible after I have downloaded the program an purchased the licence key? Will I get the entire program includig all updates with the download? Regards Quote
Komatös Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Hello @cloudescape and welcome to the forums. Once you have purchased the app, all you need to do is download it, install it and activate it with the account data you use for the Serif Store. If there are updates, a corresponding message is displayed in the programmes when the programme is started. Depending on which installer version you used for the initial setup, you can have the update carried out directly (MSIX) or you will be given the option of downloading the update from the Serif Store (MSI/Exe). The downloadable retail versions are always the latest release, Quote MAC mini M4 | MacOS Sequoia 15.5 | 16 GB RAM | 256 GB SSD AMD Ryzen 7 5700X | INTEL Arc A770 LE 16 GB | 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz | Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (26100.4061) Windows 11 Pro on VMWare Virtual Machine (on Mac) Affinity Suite V 2.6.1 3 & Beta 2.6 (latest) Interested in a free (selfhosted) PDF Solution? Regards If your PC is normally offline, you will need to go online to download the software, to activate it and to check for and download any updates, however, you don't need to be online when using the apps. (You could download the software and updates on another PC and transfer it to the offline one via USB, but AFAIK there is no way to activate a Personal Licence without going online.) cloudescape Posted March 14 Author Posted March 14 (edited) Thank you both! What am I to do if Affinity goes broke in 5 years? How can I still use the software after a fresh install? I just want to be independent, getting into a programm is hard work and switching to another one is not an easy task during every day life and work. I want to work on photos and not on understanding how my software works again and again because somebody made changes to it or cancels it completely. Greets Edited March 14 by cloudescape Quote
Oufti Posted March 14 Posted March 14 If you don't mind about updates, you can install the program, register and then go offline for eternity: it will still work as it is.
