biyoo Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Hi all, I am having some trouble exporting a specific text box in Affinity Publisher. Background Using Affinity Publisher 2.6. Exporting as PDF (digital small-size) Fonts used: Comico.otf 10pt with 0.5 stroke, standard ligatures, and contextual alternates Text box: rotated 5 degrees Issue Rotated text box does not export, takes an unreasonably long time to export, and/or causes Publisher to freeze What Works Exporting text box at 0 degrees (any rotation at all causes it to freeze) Exporting just one word in the text box (possibly not dependent on specific letters) Exporting with different fonts Exporting with no stroke; a thinner stroke (0.2) exports, but still takes an extremely long time What Doesn't Work Turning ligatures off/on Turning subset fonts off/on Changing stroke caps My plan is to convert the stroke version to curves and overlay the text version on top of it, so that it is still accessible to screen readers. However, I would appreciate some insight on why a font would run into problems exporting at a rotated angle/with stroke, and if there are any workarounds that keep the text as-is. Thank you! Hangman Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Hi @biyoo and welcome to the forums, Your file is exporting as PDF (digital small-size) without issue for me... Can you confirm whether the version of Comico you're using is Version 1.001; Fontself Maker 3.5.4? I appreciate you want to make the file accessible to screen readers, but as a quick test, can you also confirm whether you see the same export issues when you untick Tagged PDF in the PDF Export window?
