Pencil lines always end with a curl that I don't want

I have been using Affinity for years and can't work out this problem. I do freehand drawing with the pencil tool in Designer2 and all of my lines end with a curl that goes back the other direction. Each one of these I have to "fix" manually with the node tool. Is there a way to just end without this curl? Please! and thank you!

Hi Bynah,

This sounds as though it may be a bug please could you confirm if you use a graphics tablet etc and if the same issue occurs when drawing the strokes slowly vs drawing them quickly? 

If possible please could you also provide a screen recording demonstrating this issue so I can look into this further with you?

Hi Callum, thank you for responding. I am using a tablet. I just tried it and it seems like it happens more when making a quick line. I am working with vectors,

using the pencil.
