Akkun Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Hello, I'm having a problem with all the products in the Affinity V2 suite: the option to Edit in Photo, Designer, or Publisher is grayed out regardless of the context! Have you got an idea? Thank you in advance for your expertise. Quote
GarryP Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Do you have a document open when you try to use the “Edit in…” menu options? If not, then you need to have a document open. Which OS are you using? If it’s Windows, were all of your Affinity applications installed using the same type of installer? E.g. All MSIX, or all MSI/EXE? Are all of the “Edit in…” menu items disabled in all three applications or are some enabled in some applications? Quote
Akkun Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 Hello Gary Yes, I always have a document open and I'm using the Windows version. I'll check if it's the same type of installer...do you think that could be a factor? Quote

Hi Akkun, Different installation versions would cause this issue if you are unsure if you have mismatched MSIX and MSIEXE versions I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling all apps using the same installer just to be sure. Akkun Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 Hello Gary Can you explain the differences between these installers? Thanks. Quote

From the FAQ: There's also information on the Download page for the applications, if you're downloading for Windows, that explains it. Akkun Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 @Callum Thanks, So I'm going to uninstall everything and recover the programs to be sure. Is there a preferred installer? Quote

MSIX is preferred, unless you're one of the users who needs to use the MSI/EXE, which only you will know.
