Affinity Publisher Photo Persona Crashes when switching to Object Selection Tool

Affinity Publisher 2.6

Steps to Reproduce

Open Affinity Publisher

Create a New Document or start with an existing one

Import an image or add one from the stock panel

Switch to Photo Persona

Select Object Selection Tool

Affinity Publisher Crashes

 

I did not see this issue anywhere in the 2.6.2 Fixes or in the forum so I decided to report it. Sorry if it's a duplicate.

same here, see screen recording here. It worked for a while, then suddenly started crashing.

I can't replicate the bug on my Mac Mini M4 on MacOS 15.3.2 and Affinity Publisher 2.6.1

Your MacOS and Affinity App(s) are not up to date, so I would suggest updating both.

I'm not getting any report of an update when checking on 2.6. My license is active but the software says I'm on the latest version.

I'm getting the same issue on my M3 Mac Mini and my M1 MacBook Air. The MacBook Air is already on MacOS 15.3.2

My mistake, sorry. 2.6.1 was only for the iPAD version.

There may be a crash report please follow the instructions below and post it here.

Open the Console app from Applications > Utilities. In the left hand panel click Crash Reports - you will see a list of Crash Reports.
Find the relevant crash report - it should display the app's name in the Process Name column. Right click and select Reveal in Finder. Please send us the .crash file.
