Two fatal bugs still exist in 2.62

1. After creating a group after chamfering, the alignment with other parts is not accurate
2. The conversion of the chamfered line segment endpoints into curves is not accurate

Do something about this. These are the features that are often used in vector design work. I have to go back to the old version.

This is because it the node is still present after using the corner tool, the shape is aligning to the left node as we would expect. As you can see in the example below, where 2 curves have been left aligned: 

If you use the Bake Appearance button on the context toolbar, the curved section could then be left aligned:
