NotMyFault Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Probably snapping settings not correct. the combination of snap settings causes pain. i recommend to use the lowest number of settings active. so deactivate all, and selectively activate only snapping to layer geometry and bounding boxes. Mainecoon364 Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 Have you tried It? Still It does not work. Snap Still Does Not Work.MP4 Quote
NotMyFault Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Works for me. Just be patient. The snapping feels like the motion gets frozen suddenly, without visual feedback like blue/red/yellow lines which normally appear. Maybe your rectangle has a site which almost fits between the upper black lines, but could be off minimally off. I generally find snapping a total mess. too many options where it is totally unclear how their interact which each other, which takes priority (whole pixel does, other indent know) Snapping options are controlling different things, like snap sensitive areas in moved object/layer Snap targets like grid, guides, margin/spread, other shapes. Some are sub-settings requiring the parent setting active, others like move by whole pixels don’t. How will snap act if enforce pixel alignment is on, but the document uses other units like pt? besides move tool, snapping may impact other tools like node tool, handles of node tool, … it is a disaster, complete failure. Mainecoon364 Posted March 15 Author Posted March 15 I still can not snap when I hover there slowly. I think the developer team need to fix Snapping urgently. Snapping is one of the most important feature of vector drawing apps. It looks like snapping got a lot worse than the v1 version. Quote
MikeTO Posted March 15 Posted March 15 It might be easier for us to understand your screen recordings if you selected Show Snapping Candidates. Because your recording starts with you dragging the object, we don't know which other objects on the page are snapping candidates. Showing them would make it obvious to us what is going on. Also, could you please describe what you're expecting it to snap to that it's not snapping to - it's not totally obvious from the screen recording where the problem is. Mainecoon364 Posted March 16 Author Posted March 16 I removed the app and reinstalled. Now Snapping works for some reason. Thanks for the answers. Quote
