Hello,

The bug is with artboard position

image.png.8458d0c6d53194c5203ce82d522d9888.png

it moves slightly, I have multiple art-boards, I did it multiply times like set position at exact 720, 3033px whatever.. but after macos sleep-wake up the artboard moves a bit ?? No the solution isnt to use alignment tool or grid, the solution is to fix your 💩

why its important? you can have icon 512x512 but once arboard moves it becomes 513~ after export, imagine having 100 artboards  crazyy

and now imagine waisting time and create ai selection tool in vector design app lol, maybe add simplify? image tracing? perspective grid? perspective rotation with exact values? optimize nodes? Nah lets add ai selection tool...

While this definitely looks like a problem that needs to be fixed, I would not recommend keeping Affinity files open during a sleep-wake cycle.

There are so many possible problems that could occur if the wake phase doesn’t work correctly that you could risk losing any unsaved changes or, in worse cases, the whole document.

I realise that ‘things should just work as they are supposed to’, but relying on them always doing so probably isn’t a good idea.

(I thought I’d seen this problem come up in the forums before but I can’t find it via a quick search.)

Sounds crazy and I never experienced such behavior. I often leave dozens of files open over days and let MacOS sleep. Can’t remember any issues in month.

Only on iPad files often get lost / not saved due to iPadOS kills process reproducible in low free RAM situation

Can you please document the exact steps with screenshots / recording ? It might be just a UI rounding issue, and sleep/wake cycle only triggers a redraw. Or you did not apply the change effectively, we have more UI issues where user input gets reverted depending if and how you leave the UI.

please save file with history enabled. After changing size/position, a new entry in history must be visible.

I use iPad screenshots and videos even in the Desktop section of the forum when I expect no relevant difference.

Hi @4f00d

If you can provide a file saved with Save With history enabled after the artboard has moved as @NotMyFault has requested above we should be able to look into this further with you. If for any reason you are unable to provide a copy of the file please could you confirm if a history entry is made when the art board moves?

Thanks
C
