Petar Petrenko
Is there an option in AD to lock guides? I can not find any option in menus even in palettes. Am I missing something? If not, can it be considered as feature request and solved with a guides layer? Staff MEB Posted July 26, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 26, 2016 Hi Peter_MK, No, you have not missed anything. This wasn't implemented yet. I don't know yet how it will be implemented/work but this is already being considered for inclusion. Meanwhile i'm moving this thread to the Feature Requests section. catlover
MEB, I have repeatedly posed the same, as well as various other questions about the guides/ruler system. As yet, none of the issues I (and others) mentioned, have been addressed. It would be nice of the guides/ruler system would be brought up to scratch by implementation of the issues mentioned in various posts by a number of users. Could you put thoses quesstions into the Feature Request lists ? Pretty please ???? I think all users would want to have both AffD and AffP to be a real Photoshop killer, unfortunately it isn't quite there yet ... Meanwhile keeping up hope for the future, best, C.L. Staff MEB Posted July 27, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 27, 2016 Hi catlover, We are aware of those requests.I believe they are taking more time than usual because most of them are dependent on the artboards development which isn't yet complete. For example guides are still using global coordinates rather than local (artboard based) coordinates on documents with artboards. Changing origin points also isn't available yet. Rulers/guides are tied to these features and probably won't be improved until the artboards core functionality is totally complete and stabilised. Ian-S
Just to keep the pressure on this feature request (now 2 years old). I use guides a lot, and am constantly moving them by accident when trying to move lines snapped to the guide. Please - a locking guide system would make this program so much better. LomaxFairchild
Another request for this feature - it's frustrating when you end up moving guides by mistake. I bare use guides because of this.
Petar Petrenko
It would be nice if guides are set on separate layer and possibly grouped into folders to control the color, which of them will be vissible or not...
