I noticed that if you have a placed photo and you use the vector crop tool or mask the image with an object, it makes the PDF file size enormous. If I leave the image as is, not cropped or masked or anything, the PDF file size is around 4mb. If I crop the the image with the vector crop tool or by using a mask, the PDF file size jump to over 100mb. I experienced this in both Designer and Photo.

Why is this the case? Can we get an actual Standard Raster/Pixel Crop tool?

Hi NGK,

This is likely down to the Vector Crop / mask being non destructive rasterising your layer after cropping will prevent the file size bloat.

Thanks
