Hi,

I recently used Publisher to recover an existing PDF project, whose source file I couldn't edit. The PDF was not opened, but placed.

I know that everything was fine, with Publisher letting me batch-place all the PDF pages into separate Publisher pages. I have a PDF that I did generate from this project to prove it.

However, when reopening the Publisher document today, part of the placed PDF pages are resized. The source PDF file doesn't exhibit this difference in size between the pages.

May I mail you the files, so that you can see if there is some bug causing this issue?

Hi @PaoloT,

Do the PDF pages that are resized contain images, i.e., raster files?

Are you happy to upload the file in the forum? If not, I'd be happy to take a look if you're happy to DM the files to me or provide a Google Drive download link or similar...

As far as I can see, the images in those pages are all vector ones, apart for part of a screenshot. The same images are reused in other pages, that are not resized.

I can't share the files in the forum, so thank you for your kind offer to check them. I've sent them to your mailbox.

@Hangman, thank you very much for your tests!

I hope Serif will want to check it, because this issue may hide some more general problems.

As Hangmann has found, the problem is due to cropped vector images, that Publisher consider in their uncropped size and use as a reference to downsize the whole inserted PDF page.

In addition to this oddity, there is the fact that it worked fine the first time, but had all the affacted pages resized when reopening the Publisher document.
