QR-code tool, text mode:

It seems that any combination of upper or lower case Roman letter(s) and/or followed without a space by a colon (:) breaks the QR-code, i.e., renders it unreadable by the QR-code reader ("No readable data detected" -- i.e., an error to that effect, my iPhone runs in German).

Tested with iOS 18.3.1 on Designer and Publisher 2.6.0.; but I'm assuming it's the same tool anyway throughout the suite.

This ONLY seems to happen in that exact sequence ( [upper or lower case Roman letter(s):] ) and only on the first line of the QR-code tool text entry window:

Breaks
LineOne: Error
Line1: Error
Line-one: Error

Works
Line1 : Error
Line One: Error
-: Error

Line,one: Error
αλφαβετ: Error

Obviously, I have not tested all the possibilities -- but it's def. some kind of combination of u.c./l.c. Roman letters, with or without dashes (-), immediately followed by a colon (:), and only on the first line of the text entry window.

As soon as you introduce a space before the colon, the error disappears.

Hi @Riess,

I assume this is for creating a vCard is that correct...

If so, I've not experienced any issues with the standard vCard layout using the text option which follows this format...

BEGIN:VCARD
VERSION:3.0
N:LastName;FirstName
FN:FirstName LastName
ORG:Company
EMAIL;type=INTERNET;type=WORK:name@company.com
TEL;type=WORK;type=VOICE:Work Number
TEL;type=CELL;type=VOICE:Mobile Number
TEL;type=FAX;type=FAX:Fax Number
TITLE:Job Title
ADR;type=HOME:;;Address
ADR;type=WORK:;;Address
item1.URL:Web Address
NOTE:Notes
BDAY:YYYY-MM-DD
END:VCARD

Could you upload a complete sample where you see the error so we can take a look...
