eindietmar Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Tech Specs: Affinity Designer 2.5.7, Mac OS 15.1.1, Macbook Pro M1 Pro 16 GB Ram When selecting various nodes with the node tool by dragging over a specific area of an object i would actually expect it to select the nodes i dragged over right away, instead this selects the whole object and you have to drag over the specified area with the node tool again to make your node selection. This seems unlogical for me since i already selected the node tool, which already states that i want to select nodes and not the whole object. Quote
PaulEC Posted February 28 Posted February 28 You just select the object before you select it's nodes. It makes perfect sense to me, especially when you have multiple objects in your design. I don't think an extra click is actually a "bug"! ice_video_20250228-201051.mp4 Quote Acer XC-895 : Core i5-10400 Hexa-core 2.90 GHz : 32GB RAM : Intel UHD Graphics 630 – Windows 11 Home - Affinity Publisher, Photo & Designer, v2 (As I am a Windows user, any answers/comments I contribute may not apply to Mac or iPad.)
eindietmar Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 Thanks for clearing things up. You are right, when you want to just select nodes of one object it actually makes sense, the more i think about it. Maybe it is just me needing to get used to this. Still i at least think it would make sense to have a direct node selecting behaviour at least when a combine the drag operation with pressing like "alt" or alike? Quote
