JustMeTrying Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Hey All, I know the macros are odd but I'm wondering why I can't select two items to align them to each other? I get a "cannot set current selection" error. Is there a workaround for this? A very simple example of this is taking the star and aligning it to the bottom right of the square. The issue is I have 10 squares, all different sizes so the position will be different on each one. Is this not possible? I really wish macro's could do most if not all functions. Thanks Quote
David in Яuislip Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Select the two shapes Start macro recorder Align Right Align Bottom Apply Stop macro recorder In both cases set Align To as First Selected then if you select the rectangle first it won't move Here's a V1 macro that possibly won't work on V2 AlignBottomRight.afmacro Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/10

I said 10 rectangles but it's more like 100+ shapes that I need to do this for. Quote

It can align multiple shapes to the same spot within each rectangle, I don't understand what you're trying to achieve Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/10
