Nadar Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Hi I created a straight line, I would like to transform it so that it is of an irregular width for example that the start is wider than the finish. In addition, it would have to become a curve Can someone help ? I found some explanations, but it concerns the computer app of AF and I'm on an iPad… Thanks Quote Ipad Affinity Photo
walt.farrell Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Several aspects of your question are unclear to me: Which Affinity app and which release of it are you using, and do you have the other apps available? Whether you are working with a vector line you've drawn or a pixel line. What you mean by "it would have to become a curve". What part of the tutorial you're having problems following. Clarification on those aspects would help in answering the question, and a screenshot showing the complete application window with the work you currently have, and with the Layers panel showing and that line selected, would be useful, too. Thanks. Nadar Posted March 2 Author Posted March 2 Hi Walt 1-Affinity Photo 1 on an iPad Pro 3 iPadOS 18.3 2-Vector line 3-In fact, the simplest would be to say modify a vector curve Quote Ipad Affinity Photo
walt.farrell Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Thanks. Given a straight line you could add additional nodes using the Node Tool, which would allow you to make it something that bent at the nodes. But for adjusting the line widths using a Pressure Profile, and using only Photo V1 on iPad, I don't think you can do what you want to. It would be possible using Designer V1 using the Stroke panel. It would also be possible using Photo V2 with the Pen Tool, and it would be possible in Designer V2 with the Pen Tool or the Stroke Width Tool or the Stroke panel. Nadar Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 Thanks Walt Could you tell, me, please how to do It with Affinity 1 ? Quote Ipad Affinity Photo
walt.farrell Posted March 3 Posted March 3 You're welcome. As I said, in V1 you can't do it in Photo for the iPad as far as I know. You would need to use Designer, which has the Stroke panel. And if you don't already own a license for Designer V1 you can't get one any more, so you would need to purchase a V2 license instead. walt.farrell Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Or you could do it in Photo 2, too using the Context bar.
