I would like to know the best way to remove a background quickly. I work daily with product design and the website “photoroom” for me has always been the best. I thought I could finally stop using it but I think that the new affinity tool is still not up to the task.

Look this pdf comparasion file please:

I tried with a few files to work on the new AI with Affinity Photo. It just does not work as I would like it to.
For background removals I use Pixelmator Pro and external AI online softwares.

In these tasks (object selection, inpainting, autotrace,...), a local/built-in solution cannot compete with online services. It would therefore be useful if Serif allowed connecting its own ML modules to these external services (even paid ones), if someone wanted and needed it.

Just an aside, but whatever you use to remove the background, it would help to take the original photo with a plain background!

Yes! I usually try it but still the background removal is not perfect.

No, it isn't, but starting with a half way decent photo helps a lot! 😉
