I’m trying to use alternate glyphs for a font in affinity designer on iPad. The font I’m using is Reborn which I purchased and uploaded onto affinity in the normal way. There is a regular version and an Alt version but both of these are actually the same when I use them. I contacted the font designer who very kindly made a video tutorial. You just select the letter in your deign, open glyphbrowser and select the version you want there. It automatically changes on the video. It doesn't automatically change for me. However, I am using it on iPad and the video was desktop. I tried another video. This time the user didn’t select a letter to change, just selected the glyph in the menu and it was typed onto the design. That didn’t happen for me either. I tried an official affinity video tutorial for iPad but the menu options are all different to the ones i have so now I’m very confused.

Welcome to the forums @Petimo apologies for the late response,

To confirm, are you attempting to swap the highlighted character for a different one via the Glyph Browser? On iPad, this should be possible by a simple double tap on the desired Glyph. What may help is increasing the size of the Glyph Browser menu to make the glyphs easier to replace. You can change the size of the Glyphs via the Glyph Browser context menu at the top right-hand corner (3 line burger menu) to the 'Largest Size' option.
