Hi,
Suddenly I can't open Publisher Anymore. It crashes immediately on startup. I have a 2019 i9 Macbook Pro, with Macos 15.3.1
Affinity Photo and Designer work fine.

I've tried unistalling and reinstalling various versions (from 2.0.0 to 2.6.0) but the problem is still there.

The error log says

Termination Reason:    Namespace SIGNAL, Code 11 Segmentation fault: 11

I've tried clearing app preferences (via Ctrl+click): no changes.
I've deleted user preferences folders and plist: no changes.

If I login via Guest, the app works, but when logging in again with my administrator account it crashes again.

Hi @OneCollie,

Thanks for the file.

Have both Photo and Designer been updated to 2.6 or are they on a previous version?  From reading the report it appears it could be a font issue, but if that was the case i'd expect the same issue with Photo and Designer.

I'll this past our QA team and see if they can suggest something for you to try :)

Hi @OneCollie,

When you did the Control+Run up and got the Clear User Data screen, did you tick all of the boxes on that screen or just leave the first 3 ticked?

If you happened to untick the first 3 options on the Clear User Data screen, please do this again leaving those 3 options ticked and then clicking on Clear.  Does Affinity then start?

When you mentioned a font issue, I opened the font book and reinitialized the system fonts. Publisher works again and it continued to do so even after I reinstalled all the user ones.
Maybe some system font had a problem.
Anyway, thank you for pointing me in the right direction. :)
