PJS4 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I created a drawing in Affinity Designer (1.10.6.1665) and saved it on my Google Drive. Now, just two days later when I try to load it I get the message "File type not supported". What has gone wrong? Quote
GarryP Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Welcome to the forums @PJS4 The main problem might be that you saved the file to cloud storage, which is something that is not recommended for the Affinity applications for various technical reasons. If you can share the file with us (in public) then someone can look to see if anything can be recovered from it. If you can’t (or don’t want to) share the file in public then a staff member might give you a drop-box link where you can share it privately. Alfred 1 Quote

The first thing I would do is copy the file to local storage and try to load it from there. Although it seems likely that file corruption occurred when the file was saved, there’s no harm in assuming that the saved file is intact but is simply failing to load correctly from Google Drive.
