Hi,

Here a post to request a possibility to sort layers alphabetically.

Sorting layers alphabetically is a major issue, especially with DXF files. Apparently DXF doesn’t consistently maintain the order of objects between different software.
A common workaround for designers and architects is to organize objects into layers sorted alphabetically or numerically. This way, when exporting and importing a large file into another program, you can simply sort the layers alphabetically to maintain the display order of objects—otherwise, the order may not be preserved.

Having options for organizing and sorting layers is crucial for ensuring a minimum level of compatibility between different software.
They should not be automatically listed in alphabetical order, but it would be very useful to be able to do so.

Some posts on the forum have already been mentioning it for 7 years.
