street79 Posted February 27 Posted February 27 I use Affinity Photo and take product photography, I frequently use the Pen Tool to make accurate selections. After updating to 2.6 the aforementioned tool has a new strange and annoying behavior which, moreover, is not possible (at least I think) to change. Using the pen the stroke fills with the set foreground color, which means that I can't see how to adapt my curve, at this point I am forced to click on the icon with the crossbar to deactivate the foreground color which then has the secondary effect of making me lose the selected color. I wonder if you know a way to disable this behavior...Thanks Quote IMac 27" Retina 5K – OS 12.7.6 – Affinity Photo-Designer-Publisher 2.6.3 I apologize for my English. It's not my native language.
lepr Posted February 27 Posted February 27 The right hand end of the context toolbar of Pen Tool has toggles for 'use line style' and 'use fill'. If you see a pair of chevrons at the end of the bar then there are more controls which become available by clicking on the chevrons. lacerto 1 Quote
street79 Posted February 27 Author Posted February 27 @lepr Very quick answer, I saw the two buttons and in general they seem to solve the problem; however, the Use line style button has a strange behavior: when I click on it, the stroke becomes 1pt thick and the color black; if I go to change the thickness to 0pt and no color the Use line style button automatically returns and if I click it again, the stroke becomes 1pt thick and the color black and this thing continues like this. I don't know if this is an expected behavior... Anyway, thanks for the collaboration. Quote IMac 27" Retina 5K – OS 12.7.6 – Affinity Photo-Designer-Publisher 2.6.3 I apologize for my English. lepr Posted February 27 Posted February 27 I think the tool is reasonably reckoning that you must want a visible stroke if you deliberately enable ‘use line style’, therefore it sets a default stroke of 1 pt black instead of using the 0 pt no colour. Ldina 1 Quote

This makes sense to me. Thank you... Quote IMac 27" Retina 5K – OS 12.7.6 – Affinity Photo-Designer-Publisher 2.6.3 I apologize for my English. It's not my native language.
