I have multiple polygons of varying shapes.  If I click on a style I created, it comes in with a non-uniform scale on one axis.  If I do a vector fill and choose the .png, it comes in with a uniform scale that I can adjust.

My question:  Is there a way to either edit a pattern that has already been placed inside an object.  Like can I get ahold of the gizmo that allows me to edit a pattern?  And/or is there a place where the information like how much scale was applied to the pattern via the gizmo and is it editable ?  If I scale my pattern way down, I would like to repeat that exact scale multiple times on other polygons I fill with the base pattern.  The gizmo just lets me drag a handle and isn't very accurate at repeating the same scale setting.  Once its placed, I can't find any way to edit the settings, so I basically need to start the whole fill process again.pattern_fill.png.481593ed46b377b2045e0752eac112b7.png

Thanks.

Hi @WhirledPeas apologies for the late response,

When you mention 'Gizmo' are you referring to the Gradient Tool's Bitmap fill transform handles? After placing a bitmap image as the shape fill using the Vector Flood fill tool, if you select the shape and switch to the Gradient tool, you should find that you can adjust the handles on the canvas and change the fill properties along the context toolbar.

In terms of checking the applied bitmap fill's width and height, I don't believe these properties are reflected in the transform panel.

The limitations of the lack of bitmap fill options have been mentioned several times in the forum, e.g. for …

  • Precise/numerical scaling,
  • Updating a bitmap,
  • Propagating a bitmap's settings to other objects and
  • Preserving fill settings when a filled object is resized,

A workaround to achieve equal bitmap fill sizes for different objects is to first select all objects and then apply + adjust the bitmap fill to all objects at once.
