New update will not open on my ipad

I try to open the app and it will open for a second then close automatically. iOS 15.8 affinity designer 2.6 ( newest version) it worked fine before the update. I go to the setting to check the version installed and it is all blank. See attached. I try to select version or build and nothing happens.

@CN80 Hi and welcome to the forums.

First, try restarting your iPad. Second, I know the splash screen is there for just a second but you can double tap the splash screen with a single finger to open a window from which you can clear your user data. That might resolve the issue without having to reinstall the application.

Thanks for reporting this and we apologise for this issue which is affecting Affinity on iPadOS 15 and iPadOS 16 less than 16.4.

We've replicated the issue and have it logged with our Developers and we hope to have out fix very shortly.

The Affinity Info Bot will update here when this has been resolved.

Thank you, I uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled today and it worked. Not sure why it didn’t work the previous times. I tried it several times yesterday.

You probably installed 2.6.1 which was just released today for iPad to fix this issue.

The issue "[iPad] Devices running iOS < 16.4 crash on startup following 2.6 update" (REF: AF-6020) has been fixed by the developers in the new release (2.6.1.3174) available in this iPad store now.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Affinity Info Bot to notify us.
