For the second day running my PC hangs up when using affinity photo (I have only used it twice since upgrading and both times it hangs up). Yesterday I was resizing an image in photo persona and my PC Hung (ctrl, alt, del wouldnt even work) and I had to hard switch off. Today I was in develop persona, had just resized and image and pressed develop and it hung again and required a hard reboot.

Been using 2.5 for months without these problems, in fact never had a crash before.

Try to turn off hardware acceleration in the performance settings and see if it helps.

Affinity Suite v2.6.x - Windows 11 Pro

Posted

Hi Guys

I have been using affinity photo and designer from the beginning.

Affinity phot has always been very stable and I have never had crshes.

With new ver 2.6 Beta it repeatedly crashes when using a macro on a file.

The same problem occurs with ver 2.6

I have uninstalled all my versions and done a clean install of ver 2.6 beta.

I have turned off hardware acceleration

I have downloaded all updates to nvidia driver and windows 11

Nothing changes the crashing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

@ggimedia Welcome to the forums.

If the issue is happening in the retail release, can you please check for a crash report that coincides with a crash occurring so we can take a look.

Also, is this one of the default macros or a custom one you've created?

If it's ONLY happening in the latest 2.6 beta, please post in the beta section of the forum for the team to assist you.
