For Publisher and Designer:

Switch to a page that has an image

Select > Select Object > Images

And switch off visibility (in the Layers Panel) for one of the images - the rest will also switch off their visibility

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

states: i followed the video but "images" is empty when I click on it

I’m not entirely sure what you mean by that but you need to ‘open’ the query to be able to change its settings – I do this around 12 seconds into my video.

select: it work just on a page, I have 1000+ more image in a book

Make sure you have Edit all Layers set in the Layers panel

If it still does not work, please upload a full-size screenshot, with the Layers panel visible taken immediately after you do Select > Select Object > Images

I didn't say that it does not work, but that it works only on a page at a time. Did I understand correctly?

Doing it on a 1200 page book is not practical. I would like something like "exclude images from pdf export".

(see this detail)

I can’t see enough to understand what the problem is.

As with what carl123 said above, please give full-screen (whole application UI) screenshots so we can see everything that you can see.

Thanks for the video.

In macOS I think you need to use the little ‘arrow/V’ icon to the left of the query name to open the query – it’s not in the same place as on Windows and the Light UI makes it difficult to see.

It works on all pages at the same time

YES! Now both work. For select, the problem was that I should select "image frames", not images. And I didn't see the small arrow...

But I am a donkey: In this way I remove also the page backgrounds and so I see nothing, being the text white.

I found however a solution: during export I set the image resolution to 1 DPI. So the file size reduced from more than 1 Gbyte to 8M.

Thanks anyway.
