abe.tomas Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I have a 1st-gen Apple M1 MacBook on Sequoia 15.3. I just installed Affinity Photo v2.6 but I am getting message that Photo does not recognize my M1 MacBook. How can I install the Machine Learning features (Object Selection Tool and Select Subject) on my MacBook? Thanks for your help. Quote

How can I install the Machine Learning features (Object Selection Tool and Select Subject) on my MacBook? Go to your Applications folder and select the Affinity Photo app. Right-click and choose Get Info. If "Open using Rosetta" is selected, deselect it. Start Affinity and it should now work. Check the other two Affinity apps, too, if you have them. If Rosetta was selected, not only will this fix machine learning but Affinity will be faster now. abe.tomas and stokerg 1 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.5, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)

It will also launch faster the first time for you because Rosetta won't have to load, and you'll have more memory available for your apps. I'm curious why Affinity Photo was set to open using Rosetta on your computer. Do you have any plugins installed (e.g., Nik, ON1, Pantone Connect...) and if so which ones?
