Alex_idfp Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Quick Publisher 2 question, as nothing turned up in the FAQs... I'm bringing spreads from a PDF file into a document as thumbnails, but the background is importing as transparent (being paper). I was hoping (like in InDesign) a quick click of a colour in the swatch would set the background colour, but this does not do anything regardless of whatever colour I select (I just want to make it white, as my background is grey). If I create a picture frame, then import my PDF content, then I can set the background colour to white just fine... but is there no way to do this without the extra steps of having to make a picture frame? (as usual, a little more convoluted than I'd hoped...). Quote
PaulEC Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Just put a rectangle behind it and make it any colour you want. PaulEC Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Well, PDFs are transparent by default, so if you want something other than the paper colour /white, you need to add it to the page. If you need to apply the same colour to multiple pages you can just put it on a Master Page. Alex_idfp Posted February 24 Author Posted February 24 Yeah. It's all part of the learning with Publisher... at least there are a couple of solutions, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't something obvious (or hidden) that I'm missing! Quote
