Publisher Update - crop frame - is this right?

Hey there, 
 

Just updated to 2.6 and all super awesome!

When I go to crop image frames in publisher though, the frame remains as the full size image.

Is there a button or setting I need to change this so the frame is the cropped image (as it was last week)?

You can use Select > Cycle Selection Box to do that

But it is only a temporary fix until you select another object

Note: This new way of working for the Crop Tool (in all apps) is proving controversial and as such the support staff have logged an improvement request with the Devs so things may improve/change in the future

The cycle selection box resets to normal bounds after setting it... Quite frustating!

 

Add my frustration to the pot please, this is a serious addition to my workflow process

Is the update to revert going to come anytime soon for this?

It's really winding me up and it's not fun at all!!!

Otherwise how do I revert / download the previous version of affinity?

If you bought Affinity in the Affinity Store (nor the Mac App Store nor the Microsoft Store), you'll find old versions here for Windows:

Thank you so much, I've sadly had to go to old software.

Will this be updated and changed back anytime soon?

 

Edit - I can't actually downgrade and use the same files and work I've been working on for 2 weeks.

SO I am stuck and this is very frustrating!!!!!

What crazy idea this is! At least you should be able to permanently change this in the app settings. Sometimes it's hard to believe that developers actually "work" with the features.

I think the update 2.6.2 is working normally again in regards to the crop tool and not showing the original picture size.
