1. Create Shape
2. Convert to Curves
3. Live Perspective Filter
4. Put Filter and Curves Shape in a Group to limit effect to just that shape

In the previous version, it worked well without needing to convert to curves. Since it wasn't working, I tried converting to curves, but it still didn't work, which is why I'm submitting this bug report.

I have frequently used this feature. It's not that I don't know how to create it. It's a feature I often use when introducing the directions to move in my game walkthrough posts, as shown in the screenshot attached below.

I just checked with v2.4.2, and when using the Perspective tool (!), it doesn't affect shapes either.
So not a bug. (Or at least not a new one, in case it's not "by design".)

What you were probably using is the Live Perspective Filter. That works just fine on any shape.

Speaking of which, if you want to distort vector objects, you might rather want to use the Warp Group by temporarily switching to Designer (File → Edit in Designer) to add it, and then you can easily switch back to Photo again.

Why do you keep saying it works well in Affinity Designer 2.6.0 when I am stating that it doesn't work in Affinity Photo 2.6.0?

Of course, I have the license for the app, but there is no reason for me to use that tool.

People just giving you options and trying to help. Try “thank you” once in a while…it works wonders.

The Perspective Tool relies on the Assistant Manager to rasterise the Arrow before it will work. Check your Assistant Manager is enabled and the correct setting is enabled to rasterise the Arrow Layer (or just rasterise the Arrow layer first)

The Live Perspective Filter does not need to Rasterise the Layer so can be used no matter what the Assistant Manager settings are set to

Ah! That's it! When I open files after upgrading to version 2.6.0, the app force closes about 4 to 5 times out of 10. I had disabled several features, and one of them was the Assistant Manager. Now that I've turned it back on, it's working again.

Thank you, Carl123!

Please re-read again what I have written, this time more carefully. Thank you

Thank you, Ldina and loukash.

I was quite frustrated because features that used to work stopped functioning, and the app force closes every time I try to open a file. It seems I may have acted a bit rashly.

Ah, that explains it because I always keep all those auto-rasterize options disabled.

Cant recreate it. For me its working without issues with shape, without converting it to curves - as live filter. And as normal filter it gets automatically rasterized by assistant but it works as well. In Affinity Photo 2.6 - to be clear.
