Affinity seemed like great promise of photoshop without being harvested, but the way they don't care is hilarious, you really think nobody uses rtx 5xxx? Or is it just calculation, that it's not worth to care about this small amount of users? It's my impression that this bug is really a bug for Nvidia to fix, not Affinity. It could also be an OpenCL issue. There's a lot of different stakeholders and companies involved and I would be cautious about blaming it all on Affinity not caring. Quote

I don't think so, because didn't experience any other issue in other software, also even if it is problem of Nvidia - I'd love to have some official statement saying "Hey guys, we tried our best, sadly can't do more, now it's on Nvidia, you should message them here" It's way better than ignoring your customers HCl 1 Quote

Hangman Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Hi @IrishMerlin and welcome to the forums, There is a known issue with NVIDIA RTX 50 series graphics cards, logged under AF-6025, currently awaiting a resolution. If you turn Hardware Acceleration off under Affinity Photo's Performance settings, that should resolve the issue. Note: This will require you to reboot Affinity Photo. C-fish Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Hi, I can report the same issue with the ASUS Geforce RTX 5070 ti & 576.52 driver. Disabling Hardware Acceleration fixed it for me too. Quote
elevencore Posted June 26 Posted June 26 I tried again on my side after the release of the last driver 576.80 on june 17th. After activating Hardware acceleration, It seems to work well...until I tried to export my work. As soon as the export window opens, when the software tries to generate the preview I get each time a beautfill windows blue screen !! And the computer restart. So it's not working yet...again. Quote

This thread has been given an official tag (usually, but not always, with the format “AF-<number>”) which can be seen under the thread title. When a thread has been given an official tag it means that Serif have logged it in their system to, at least, be considered for further work. (If you click, or tap, on the tag you will see a list of related threads which have been given the same tag.) When something changes in regard to the situation as described in the thread, the Affinity Info Bot will make a posting in the thread explaining what has happened and what can be done about it (often simply upgrading to the latest version). If the Affinity Info Bot has not created a post which says that the issue has been worked on, or fixed, you can assume that the situation remains as it was, from a user perspective. Serif don’t usually give us timescales for changes or fixes, or information about their plans for such, so it’s generally not worth your time asking for them. If you want to know when a situation mentioned in an officially-tagged thread has changed, all you need to do is follow that thread and you will get a notification if/when this happens. You can follow a thread by going to the top of any page of that thread and pressing the “Follow” button at the right of the thread header. If you want to know what changes to the software may be coming soon, the best places to look are the relevant beta sections of the forums. PetervL 1 Quote
PyramidHead76 Posted Friday at 08:22 AM Posted Friday at 08:22 AM Just reporting that I'm also seeing this bug with a 5090 in mid-July, which is a bit disappointing for something first reported in February. Quote
Dave Masoin Posted Friday at 10:54 AM Posted Friday at 10:54 AM Same problem with my installed yesterday new graphic and video optimised PC Windows 11 5090 graphics card. All images get trashed with random noise, color panel freezes on B&W, unable to successfully save even one thumbnail. I bought the entire suite, so I have wasted all that money. Deeply disappointed. Do you still get the problem if you switch off Hardware Acceleration? Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
