benged123 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Just wondering. It drives me nuts, when I shift from the 'text' tool to the 'arrow/move' tool with the keystroke V ... more often than not I put a 'v' in my text ... grrrr .... or I have to click outside the text box somewhere before hitting the V for the moving tool. This is frustrating, and slow, and requires me to double check my text for the errant 'v'. Is there any way to go from the 'text' T keystroke to the 'move' V keystroke, without putting an errant 'v' in the text? Quote
MikeTO Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) You can press Esc, Esc, V to do that but there's a new feature in 2.6 that you might like. While editing text, press Cmd+Return (Mac) or Ctrl+Enter (Windows) to switch to the Move tool. This commits the text input and switches tools. loukash Posted February 21 Posted February 21 That was likely the very reason why there's a new shortcut in v2.6: Command-Return (on Mac; on Windows likely ctrl-return?) to commit text, escape the text frame and switch to the move tool, all in one go. loukash Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Merci! But frankly, my French is rather poor, as I was too busy to learn proper German and the Swiss German dialect when I came here some 44 years ago… But! We do use e.g. "merci" rather than the standard German "danke". So there are a few French words in my active vocabulary… Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

First time I have heard that and does not work here It's CTRL+Return on Windows Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
