create text frames within text frames

how can I create a text fram within another text frame - for example i want to add a caption to a picture. As soon as I try adding a text fram it either becomes part of the master frame or is locked on the page within the main text frame?

If I want to add a caption beside a picture that is pinned in a frame, I do this:

1. Select the picture with the Move tool and choose Cut
2. Click on the background of the page to deselect the frame
3. Choose Paste
4. Create the caption frame and type the caption text
5. Select the caption frame and picture and choose Group
6. Choose Cut
7. Position the text cursor back in the main text frame and choose Paste

Doing it this way is a bit more work but it allows me to group the picture and caption together. If I create the caption frame and pin it in the frame it would be pinned separately from the picture and I'd be unable to group it with the picture.
