8q8
I just wanted to underline that I usually use a graphic tablet when I design but when I tried to use it whit the Affinity Designer Beta for Windows I realized that it doesn't recognize the pressure I use on each one of the lines I make so that every of them have the same thickness as if I were using a mouse. Also, it seems difficult for the program to register my moves with the wacom as it gets freeze, slow and frequently changes the direction of the drawing I wanted. Staff MEB Posted July 23, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 23, 2016 Hi 8q8, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Click on the Vector Brush Tool, then go to the context toolbar and check if you have the Controller dropdown set to Pressure or Automatic. Staff MattP Posted July 23, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 23, 2016 Hi 8q8, Can I ask you to check what version of the Wacom drivers you have? I've got a Cintiq 13HD, Intuos 4 and Intuos 5 and they're all working as expected... Thanks, Matt
o0MSK0o
Hi, I know this thread is a few days old, but I also encountered a problem with pressure sensitivity from my Wacom Intuos (CTL-480) in Affinity Designer, and it's not listed under 'known issues' on the update page, but I didn't want to make a new thread to report it. The brush settings were set for pressure to control size & flow, but it was not detecting changes in pressure. However when I went to the Wacom Tablet Properties which come with the drivers, and added Designer as an application, it began to work without any further changes. When I deleted it, it stopped detecting pressure once again. I've not been experiencing any such problems with any other programs which I use my tablet with (Photoshop, Illustrator, Drawplus, SAI), so I don't think it's to do with tablet drivers, however, I updated the drivers just to make sure, and the problem persists. Until it is fixed though, 8q8, this might fix the issues for you. xP
Old Colonist
I have an Intuos 3, running Windows 7 with 6GB RAM and my stylus is working as it should. Keep up the great work, gang! Love the program!
fernand0n
Hi, I just did what Meb and MSK said, but no luck here. Any suggestion? I've got a Wacom TL-480 Thanks
fernand0n
Am I doing something wrong? I can't get the pressure to work. Wacom TL-480, Win7
biscuit
I have a bamboo tablet on Win10 and the vector painting brush doesn't apply any size or opacity variation. Not even when set to mouse velocity. I don't think it has worked in earlier betas. Pressure sensitivity works fine with the pixel painting brush. frnq
Hi, Windows 7 64bit, Wacom Bamboo CTL-470/K - also pressure not working. Another strange thing - velocity controler works with mouse (however, it detects very fine thickness with the very intensive mouse movement - is far too little sensitive), and do not work at all with wacom pen. federix
Hello, Same as fnrq post above, my Wacom Bamboo (CTL-470/K) pressure sensitivity still can't be recognized in the Beta releases - the workaround presented by o0msk0o couldn't work for me as the Wacom Tablet Properties for this cheaper model doesn't come with the "Application" option. Until the 1.5.0.19 release I was being able to use my pen as a mouse and after it the moment I grab my Wacom Pen the program crashes. It is still crashing in 1.5.0.21, the error code is: 0x80131516. I am using the latest Wacom Bamboo drives under Windows 10 Pro (Affinity Designer beta build 1.5.0.21 on Windows 10 Pro Build 14393.222 - Intel Core i3-2330M 2.20GHz CPU - 4,00 GB RAM - 64-bit - Wacom Bamboo CTL-470/K - driver 5.3.5-3) Federico de Aquino Affinity Designer build 1.5.0.36 on Windows 10 Pro Build 14393.479 - Intel Core i3-2330M 2.20GHz CPU - 4,00 GB RAM - 64-bit - Wacom Bamboo CTL-470 (driver 5.3.5-3)
fernand0n
Hello, I just want to register that, after months trying to find a solution without sucess, I've solved my problem regarding the pressure sensitivity of my Wacom CTL-480 by upgrading my Windows 7 to Windows 10. VanHeber
Hi, I have reported some issues with Wacom some versions ago. Maybe is a Wacom problem with Windows 10, because others programs have some issues too. My wacom behavior is: Whe Windows INK turned on, I have the pressure in pen. But I lost the right click on canvas. See the circle into page! Now, When I turned off, I lost the pressure in pen. But the right click menu works now. I believe that occur only with certain wacom models.
Wargasmic
I use a HUION tablet, there are no perceived problems with pressure or anything else with it. Did you have to change any settings? Because out of the box I'm not getting any pressure sensitivity with my Huion tablet.
