No wacom friendly

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to underline that I usually use a graphic tablet when I design but when I tried to use it whit the Affinity Designer Beta for Windows I realized that it doesn't recognize the pressure I use on each one of the lines I make so that every of them have the same thickness as if I were using a mouse.

Also, it seems difficult for the program to register my moves with the wacom as it gets freeze, slow and frequently changes the direction of the drawing I wanted.

Hi,

I know this thread is a few days old, but I also encountered a problem with pressure sensitivity from my Wacom Intuos (CTL-480) in Affinity Designer, and it's not listed under 'known issues' on the update page, but I didn't want to make a new thread to report it.

The brush settings were set for pressure to control size & flow, but it was not detecting changes in pressure. However when I went to the Wacom Tablet Properties which come with the drivers, and added Designer as an application, it began to work without any further changes.

When I deleted it, it stopped detecting pressure once again.

I've not been experiencing any such problems with any other programs which I use my tablet with (Photoshop, Illustrator, Drawplus, SAI), so I don't think it's to do with tablet drivers, however, I updated the drivers just to make sure, and the problem persists.

Until it is fixed though, 8q8, this might fix the issues for you. xP

I have a bamboo tablet on Win10 and the vector painting brush doesn't apply any size or opacity variation. Not even when set to mouse velocity. I don't think it has worked in earlier betas. Pressure sensitivity works fine with the pixel painting brush.

Hi,

Windows 7 64bit, Wacom Bamboo CTL-470/K - also pressure not working.

Another strange thing - velocity controler works with mouse (however, it detects very fine thickness with the very intensive mouse movement - is far too little sensitive), and do not work at all with wacom pen.

Hello,

Same as fnrq post above, my Wacom Bamboo (CTL-470/K) pressure sensitivity still can't be recognized in the Beta releases - the workaround presented by o0msk0o couldn't work for me as the Wacom Tablet Properties for this cheaper model doesn't come with the "Application" option.

Until the 1.5.0.19 release I was being able to use my pen as a mouse and after it the moment I grab my Wacom Pen the program crashes.

It is still crashing in 1.5.0.21, the error code is: 0x80131516.

I am using the latest Wacom  Bamboo drives under Windows 10 Pro (Affinity Designer beta build 1.5.0.21 on Windows 10 Pro Build 14393.222  - Intel Core i3-2330M 2.20GHz CPU -  4,00 GB RAM - 64-bit - Wacom Bamboo CTL-470/K - driver 5.3.5-3)

Hi,

I have reported some issues with Wacom some versions ago.

Maybe is a Wacom problem with Windows 10, because others programs have some issues too.

My wacom behavior is:

Whe Windows INK turned on, I have the pressure in pen.

But I lost the right click on canvas. See the circle into page!

Now, When I turned off, I lost the pressure in pen.

But the right click menu works now.

I believe that occur only with certain wacom models.
