When I selected part of a vector object with the node tool and copied it to a completely new layer with the paste command, not only the selected part of the object was copied, but the entire object.

Select Divide first... the map is made up of many layers which have been merged into a single layer...

And why I cant object I select with node tool move with node tool? Not logical behaviour

When the Node Tool is active, hold down V key to temporarily switch to Move Tool, drag the object to a new location while the key is depressed, and then release the key to return to Node Tool.

The context toolbar of Node Tool has a Transform Mode button which enables a bounding box with handles.

When hit V all points desapeer,

I said that you should hold down the V key, not hit it.

Holding down the V key will temporarily activate the Move Tool, and the nodes will correctly disappear until the key is released. When you want to move the entire object, the presence or absence of the nodes is irrelevant, and the nodes will reappear when the key is released.

I wonder why not just automatically, when you select the points on the object with the node tool, a selected square appears that can be moved or rotated, why would you click on Transform mode, this is just one more function that could be completely automatic, why would you select part of the points of the object if you don't want to do anything with them? That is, if you want to move or rotate these points, you definitely have to mark Transform mode, the only other function of these selected points is delete. The simplification of this process is clear. Simplify

It's more complex than you seem to realize. Some functions get mentioned in the Status Bar at the window bottom. The Status Bar Info depends on and changes with the Tool and your cursor position, e.g. when hovering on nodes / on curves / outside.

In the Publisher Persona with Node Tool + nodes selected without (!)Transform Mode – you can for instance…

  • move by dragging,
  • move and/or scale via Transform Panel,
  • move node handles (without nodes!)
  • move curves only (without nodes!) by dragging a curve
  • move nodes only (without their handles!) by dragging with modifier key pressed
  • align via Toolbar options,
  • rotate by 90º via Toolbar options,
  • flip via Toolbar buttons.

In Deigner persona it works, so..

The full functionality of the Node Tool is in all 3 personas of Publisher. (I'm aware that I'm repeating myself.)

Hangman, no that is not solution I need to change rotate some points to distort continent, so I need to rotate and now I know that is possible if hit Transform button in contextual menu. I saw also problem copy paste some points - and everything is pasted instead of only part of selected object. Not logical.

Your original post says...

"When I selected part of a vector object with the node tool and copied it to a completely new layer with the paste command, not only the selected part of the object was copied, but the entire object."

The only suggestion I gave was to "Select Divide first..." as that will allow you to select individual sections of the map and copy and paste to your heart's content without copying and pasting the whole map...

As far as I can tell the same advice will work equally well if you wish to rotate or distort elements of the map... I'm not sure what you're trying to show in your screen recording so maybe I'm not fully understanding what you're trying to do...

Try using the Transform Mode button on the Context toolbar.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
