I sometimes see a "canvas panel" mentioned. Is there such a thing in Affinity Designer? If so, where is it? If not, are settings available for the canvas? Can the transparency or opacity of a canvas be set? If so, how?

Where, out of interest, do you see it mentioned?

You can get a transparent background in Designer via Document Setup, for example menu “File → Document Setup / Colour” – see attached image.

I would need to see the actual page where it’s written, but my first guess is that either the person writing whatever it is doesn’t know the correct Affinity names for things (maybe a language translation issue) or they aren’t talking about the Affinity applications.

If you can give us a link we can find out and tell you.

Thanks for the link but I don’t have an ArtRage login so I can’t see the page.

I searched those forums for canvas panel but there are so many results I don’t know which one to look at.

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Thanks for the link.

The instructions given in the second post in that thread seem to be for ArtRage users rather than Affinity users, I’m guessing this to be the case as the Affinity applications have no “Stencil” functionalities.
