NBJ-Texas Posted Tuesday at 04:44 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:44 PM I’m using an IPad Pro but the import does not recognize TIFF files. Is this not possible from this platform? Quote
Staff DWright Posted yesterday at 09:56 AM Staff Posted yesterday at 09:56 AM Hi @NBJ-Texas, Welcome to the forum. Can you please confirm where you are trying to open the TIFF file from as I am able to open these files on my IPad Pro in the Affinity apps. Quote
NBJ-Texas Posted yesterday at 01:16 PM Author Posted yesterday at 01:16 PM I have stacked a photo, astro-photograph in Deepsky Stacker. It gives you a TIFF file. I try to import the file via new document or simply import file but the TIFF extension is not shown. I tried a cut and paste or drop the TIFF into an open document / project and while a JPEG works, a TIFF is not even recognized. I’m wanting to stretch the data and edit the photo but simply can’t get it into Affinity Photo 2. Thank you for any assistance! Quote

Do you perhaps mean that the file shows but it is grayed-out and not selectable? If it's showing, but grayed-out, that might indicate that another application has registered itself as the handler for TIFF files, and there's an iPad quirk where that makes the files unavailable to other applications. In that case, it's possible that you could long-press on the file, choose Get Info, and Open the file from the resulting Info dialog. That has worked for some users in some circumstances, but not always.
