I can select the 1. word in the caption of the image (Color) and make a link to that. Or I can select the image, make an anchor and point to that. However the anchor will have a fixed name, so I have to name the image. I would prefer it to be: see Fig. 3-5 and - important - dynamically change when I insert an image above. Quote

Have you considered using that function rather than the more basic Hyperlink function? This requires V2, of course, and you haven't indicated which Publisher release you're using.
