Roger D Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I did a search and there were similar reports, but there is not much recently. Other files I open are fine. My one particlular file opens Publisher and I see the progam open briefly, then it crashes. I am new to Publisher, so am not sure about getting crash logs or anything. I restarted the PC and I turned of Hardware Accelaration to no avail. Could someone please help, I don't want to lose my work? Thanks. Quote
MikeTO Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Does the file have any linked resources? If so, you could try renaming them or the folder they're stored in to make them unavailable to Publisher when opening the document. It might help. Another trick we sometimes try is to create a new document and then choose Document > Add Pages from File to import the crashing document into the new one. Sometimes this works. Good luck. Here's how to find crash reports: Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.3, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
Roger D Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 Thanks Mike, I will look into that. It might have been the linked reosurces. I appreciate the tips - they might come in useful! To be honest I am a little disappointed at how buggy this program is. I recently did a large project and luckily that still works. This was just a small project and I had backups to a point, so I just redid the stuff that needed to be done. I'll make sure I save a lot more backups in future. Anyway, cheers Quote
